Ms. Asma Yusuf (Senior Director People & Workplace Services) and Ms. Durenayab Khan (Diversity Specialist) along with 15 Women staff from National Foods Ltd in collaboration with the Aurat Foundation (AF) visited Panah to celebrate International Women Day with the residents & Staff on 05th March 2025 from 02:00 P.M to 03:30 P.M.
On this occasion Mrs. Uzma Noorani (Managing Trustee, Panah), Ms. Muneezeh Khan (Resident Director, AF), Ms. Malka Khan (Provincial Program Manager, AF) and all the staff of Panah Shelter Home were also present.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Panah Resident. Ms. Malka Khan provided a brief history of the Aurat Foundation, highlighting its contributions to women’s rights and empowerment.
Mrs. Uzma Noorani shared insights on the inception of the Panah Shelter Home, shedding light on its significance and the journey behind its establishment. She briefed about ongoing activities of Panah.
An address was delivered by the Ms. Asma Yusuf, Senior Director People & Workplace Services from National Foods emphasizing the importance of supporting women in need and the role of organizations in ensuring their well-being. She was very impressed with the efforts and contribution of Panah to empowering women.
The event featured a powerful and heartfelt performance by the residents of the Panah showcased their talent. Additionally, Theater performance by the NOW group, portraying women’s struggles and resilience, enhance the beauty of the program.
The celebration concluded with the thank note from Ms. Durenayab Khan Diversity Specialist, National Foods Ltd to Panah Team and from Mrs. Uzma Noorani to the hosts, guests & participants for giving their time to the residents and efforts to make them happy.
National Foods Ltd brought gift bags for the residents and children and distributed these gifts at the end of event. Gift bags included unstitched dresses for residents and children for occasion of Eid. Iftar boxes were exclusively made from “chocochan” and delicious dinner including Chicken Karahi, Naan and Zarda, decoration including tent, chairs etc. was sponsored by National Foods Ltd for Residents, Children and staff.
